We are seeking a Legal Assistant who can work ONSITE in Tampa, Florida
Amazing opportunity for a legal assistant who thrives in an ONSITE environment and enjoys learning by working directly with attorneys at the partner level. The ideal candidate will provide legal administrative support and facilitate smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of legal documents.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court officials as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and case information.
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing attorney calendars and scheduling meetings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or certification in paralegal studies is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and I-Manage.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Submission of new business intake and conflicts checks
- Scheduling travel, appointments and meetings
- Processing expense statements in a timely manner
- Maintaining attorneys' calendars and contact lists
